His plans are for our own good; to give us peace and a good future. The plan takes care of the now and hereafter. For the present time, He promises to give us life, good health, and supply our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ our Lord. He also promised to grant us a place in His kingdom. Mark you that His promises are authentic; His words are as good as Himself. He cannot promise without fulfilling it. And so, He is worthy to be trusted, even in our difficult situations. Bible Study Outline written by Rev Prince Uche Onyema on February 7, 2021 Theme: The Crucified Life: A narrow Way to Salvation Text: Matt. 7:13-14; Gal. 2:19-21 Introduction: The road to salvation isn’t an easy road, hence not too many are found walking on it as our text (Matt.7:13-14) reveals. It wasn’t easy for Jesus anyway! He abandoned his glory, came down from heaven to earth and died for our sins, even the death on the cross. Thus, the cross which was abnitio, an object of shame, suffering and reproach became a point of significance in our Christian faith. Through the cross we are saved, no longer under the law but grace, however, the narrowness of the way makes it that we are notat freedom to live the way we want.
