Bible Study Outline on Take Heed

DIOCESE OF ABA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) 2023 RETREAT FOR ABA DIOCESAN LADIES BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE TOPIC:     TAKE HEED TO YOURSELF TEXT:       1TIMOTHY 4:13-16 M.V:          1TIM. 4:16 Introduction :  Paul’s letter to Timothy is one of the Pastoral letters. Both 1st and 2ndletters serve as a blue print on how a minister (child of God) ought to conduct his/her life, and of course, leadership/administration of the church of God, family and in other spheres of life. In his first letter to Timothy, Paul writes to remind him of his objective in keeping him an overseer of the Church in Ephesus, which was to squelch (quickly put to an end) the false teachings prevalent at that time, and to nurture the congregation with godly teachings. In achieving that, Paul instructs Timothy with practical advice on how to live his life, and then, the church of God committed to his charge. Amongst all, Paul advised Timothy to take heed unto hi...

ABIDING IN GOD'S PRESENCE- A BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE

DIOCESE OF ABA A THREE DAY RETREAT FOR 2022 KNIGHTS ELECTS  FROM WEDNESDAY 25TH- FRIDAY 27TH MAY, 2022 THEME: RAISING GOOD SOLDIERS OF JESUS CHRIST (2TIM. 2) BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE TOPIC:    ABIDING IN GOD’S PRESENCE TEXT:      John 15:5, 7-8 M.V:        John 15:7 INTRODUCTION :  To abide, means to ‘remain’, ‘to continue’ ‘to tarry’, or ‘to dwell. Literally, it points to accepting or acting in accordance with a set rule, decision or recommendation. However, in the context of our study, it has a much deeper meaning. It means to spend quality time with God, to linger in his presence, or to live in the consciousness of His presence. God’s presence could be viewed in three forms, all of which pointing to one thing. First, God is Omnipresent; he is present everywhere at the same time (Psalm 139:6-12). Second is the visible or manifest majesty of Divine presence which is called “the Shekinah Glory.” See Exodus 3:1-5.The third is the a...

LAUNCH INTO THE DEEP: A BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE

DIOCESE OF ABA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION) BETHEL 2022 BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE TOPIC:       Launch into the Deep Text:           Luke 5:1-11 M.V:             Luke 5: 5 Introduction : Few weeks ago we celebrated the 2022 Father’s Sunday with its theme “With Jesus in the boat”. The ministry of Jesus on earth was associated with the use of boat as it was one of the commonest means of transportation at that time. In this passage, boat became not just a means of transportation but a platform from which the good news was sent forth. In all the synoptic Gospels, only Luke recorded this story. Peter’s willingness to hand over his boat to a ‘man’ he may not have met before in spite of the fact that, he had toiled in vain throughout the night, and Jesus’ reward of Peter’s act of obedience after preaching the gospel is very significant to our study. Again, Peter’s acceptance to launch out into the deep as Christ instru...
